Britney Spears is reaching cool aunt status.
The "Toxic" singer gushed over NSYNC member Lance Bass' children in a tweet on Monday, sharing photos of herself with Bass, her husband Sam Asghari and Bass' twins, to whom she is an "auntie."
"I’m a new auntie for Lance’s babies !!!" she wrote on Twitter, which is being rebranded to X. "They are absolutely gorgeous babies !!!"
Bass welcomed twins Alexander James and Violet Betty, now almost two years old, with husband Michael Turchin in 2021 via surrogacy.
It's the second generation of twins in the family: Turchin is also a boy/girl twin.
Her meeting with Bass' children comes weeks after the once boy band member alleged that Spears bailed on meeting his children after a request was made by her team to schedule a visit.
While Spears might not be Bass' children's biological aunt, she is tangentially related to Bass. Bass is Spears' sixth cousin once removed, he discovered in 2021 on Ancestry's 2 Lies & A Leaf podcast.
"I mean I feel like she's my little sister and this whole time she's been my little cousin," Bass said on the podcast.
"She is like family to me," he continued.
The pair have shared a closer bond than just a branch on their extended family trees. Bass revealed in 2019 that he came out as gay to Spears in 2004, two years before coming out publicly.
The NSYNC alum shared the first photo of his babies on Instagram in October 2021.
"Haven’t slept much in 5 days and I’m covered in ick but I’ve never been so happy!" he wrote alongside as series of adorable pics featuring the new parents and babies.
"Now there are four of us in this house that wear diapers (hint: it’s not me or @michaelturchinart)," he added, seemingly referring to their dogs, also pictured.
Bass and Turchin tied the knot in December 2014, which was documented on the 2015 E! television special, "Lance Loves Michael: The Lance Bass Wedding." His NSYNC bandmates Joey Fatone, Chris Kirkpatrick and JC Chasez were in attendance.
